During my late adolescence I went through a phase when I deliberately avoided trendy clothes. It was during the 1990s when grunge rock bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam were popular. At that time anyone who insisted on wearing trendy clothes was considered anything but cool. I didn’t think about it at the time but by refusing to wear trendy clothes and dressing like a rock... 
Yesterday I was enjoying a quick trip to Amsterdam with my husband and parents. It wasn’t a very hot day. In fact when we first went out after breakfast it was actually raining so all four of us were wearing light waterproof coats. Later on when the sun came out I was happy we were all wearing cologne fragrance because we were all perspiring quite profusely.
