Perfume and Cologne
Two of my long time closest friends recently got married. He and I went to the same high school and later in life he met her. She soon became one of my best friends. When they tied the knot, I got them a gift for the two of them but I also wanted to give them each a personal gift. After all, he had been my friend for a long time before I met her and she was my friend now in her own right. So I decided on perfume and colognes.
Perfume and colognes are perfect gifts when you know someone and their tastes. For instance, my male friend? We joke about how he takes twice as long to get ready to go anywhere as any woman does. So I got a set of his favorite cologne fragrance as his personal gift from me for their wedding.
My female friend? She has a couple of fragrances she really likes but with all the hoopla and planning of the wedding, I know she was putting several things for herself at the bottom of her to do list. So I quietly went out and got her a couple of her favorite perfume and colognes as well. The big day finally arrived and after the vows, I went to spend a couple of quiet moments with her while she changed. She thanked me for her perfume as she had, just as I thought, forgotten to get some for her honeymoon. That's what friends are for, though. I wish them both the best of luck.
