When I throw a true New Year’s Eve bash, I like to do it all in style. I had some really classy invitations that were made up, I invited all of my friends, I got all of the permits, I ordered all of the catering and made one stipulation to all of my guests: you must come dressed in proper semi-formal trendy clothes. This tradition is nothing new to New Year’s parties, however. I cannot tell you how many different parties that I have been to on the last day of each year where semi-formal trendy clothes were required as part of the dress code. So perhaps I am being a bit silly, but I want everybody to really look their finest as we celebrate the passing of the first decade of the new millennium. With everybody wearing their best semi-formal trendy clothes, we all will look great in the many different photos of us holding up our champagne glasses as we count down the final seconds of 2009, and beckon in 2010 with warm grace and gratitude!
