Trendy Clothes
My daughter asked for trendy clothes for school this year. Trendy clothes, what is that? A new brand of clothing I didn't know about. Nope. My daughter just wants to look like her peers. She wants the same style of clothing as her friends. Sure fine, happy to give her what she wants. It's her first year in high school, and I remember what that was like. It is very important to fit in right away. I took her out to the mall to do some shopping. Nothing was what she wanted.
It seems you have to shop online to get the most current trends. Once they are in the stores, they are not trendy clothes any more. To be trendy you have to have it before everyone else. That is what makes it a trend. When did shopping online become so popular? I thought all the kids liked to hang out at the malls. What are they doing if not shopping or at least window shopping? I was prepared to buy all my daughters school clothing in one trip to the mall. That is not how it is done anymore. Instead you buy clothing online as it becomes popular. That way you are always in style. I can live with that. Instead of buying everything at once we can just pick up a few pieces at a time.
