Sealing the Deal with Hair Care |

Whoever maybe up the phrase “A first impression is the most important impression” is a genius. It is entirely true in the business world and even when meeting new people. You obviously can’t crack the code on exactly who a person is by just meeting them once but you can get a pretty good idea. From an employment standpoint, it is the only thing you have for an interviewer to go off. Hair care and not having an overwhelming cloud of cologne fragrance around you are the first steps to putting your best foot forward.
Coming into to a corporate interview without a shower or hair cut in a month and a half for guys is a bad idea. I did this once because of a last minute call from a company I had to applied to weeks back. Being in the area of the interview, I went straight over warning them beforehand I won’t have time to change or anything. As far as hair care went, I had a hat on so taking it off while getting my resume in order was as far as that went. Smelling like garlic from some pizza, I had for lunch I popped in mints and sprayed cologne fragrance (too many squirts) before heading for the office. The receptionist gave me one of those “where did you come from looks,” and the interview was more or less the same. That was the last time I heard from them.
